Initiative for Croatian-Muslim-Serbian Peace Dialogue (Austria)

The Initiative for Croatian-Muslim-Serbian Peace Dialogue evolved during the war in the former Yugoslavia. It is an independent, non-partisan, and trans-national organization comprised of Austrian citizens and citizens of the former Yugoslavia. Their motto is “without dialogue, no peace.”

They hoped to re-build personal contact between the various ethnic groups of the region. They have organized discussions between parliamentary representatives, journalists and peace groups from Yugoslavia, which have met in Vienna.

In addition to promoting dialogue, they also provide humanitarian relief to refugees. Some of these measures included accompanying refugee treks to ensure their safety, providing interpreters for refugees in Austria, and creating relief transports to the war zones.
