Nadja Lorenz (Austria)

Nadja Lorenz was born in 1961 in Darmstadt, Germany. At the age of nine she moved with her family to Vienna. She studied law and in 1992 she began working at the Prader law office.

Human rights lawyer Nadja Lorenz has been chairwoman of SOS Mitmensch since 2003.
In 2005 she received the Bruno Kreisky Prize for Services to Human Rights for her commitment to asylum seekers and migrants.
