ESRA (Austria)

The psychosocial Center „ESRA“ was established in 1994 as a consultation, and treatment center. ESRA created an innovative and professional arrangement to offer aid to the surviving victims of Nazi persecution and their descendants. They also help Jewish migrants and their families who have come to Austria in the last decade. They support them throughout the integration process and also provide them and the rest of Vienna’s Jewish population with a psychosocial center. After years of working with severely traumatized people, ESRA decided to broaden its scope. They now operate as a trauma competence center, and as much as possible they also assist people who were traumatized by other experiences.
